This visit was a follow-up to workshops held in Export Marketing and Training of Trainers in Barbados for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) and Business Support Organisation (BSO’s) under the theme “Building Capacity to Support EPA Implementation in the Caribbean.”
Businesses visited included:
Henwood Products,
Moses Essence,
De La Grenade Industries,
Reflections,
Classique Ceramics,
Spice Isle Plantations and Arawak Islands.
Consultations were also held with representatives from GIDC, Export Development Unit and Ministry of Environment Foreign Trade and Export Development. During the visits the operations of the businesses as well as their production facilities were examined and specific recommendations were made by the consultant. Possible financial and other forms of assistance for Grenadian businesses from the European Union and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) were also explored.
