GIDC mandate is to stimulate, facilitate and encourage the establishment and development of industry. It is the primary agency of the Government that co-ordinate, encourage, promote and facilitate investment in Grenada.
GIDC core functions are follows:
- Collect, collate, analyze and disseminate accurate and up to-date investment information
- Promote investment opportunities locally, regionally and internationally
- Advise investors upon request, on the availability, choice or suitability of joint-venture projects
- Assist investors to incorporate and/or register their business enterprise, apply for investment incentives, obtain all licenses required by law to establish and operate a business enterprise in Grenada and provide all necessary services and support to facilitate the establishment, profitable growth and development of all forms of investment and business activities
- Advise government on strategies and policies for the continued development and enhancement of the overall investment environment and the creation of a stronger enabling environment for local entrepreneurial culture to flourish
- Facilitate the sustainable development, growth and expansion of viable micro, small and medium-scale enterprises
- Facilitate the design, development, construction, maintenance and administration of Industrial Parks
